Daily Living Equipment, Adaptations and Technology

Equipment, Adaptations and Technology

Daily living equipment and technology (also called assistive technology) are items of equipment that can help you with your everyday tasks. They can support you to manage your own health and stay independent and safe in your own home.

The items don't have to be expensive or technical. Things like jar openers, long-handled shoe horns and eye drop dispensers can be bought for less than £10. You can buy them from the local high street e.g. Argos, Wilko, pharmacies, pound shops and supermarkets, and also online, such as Living Made Easy, NRS Healthcare, Amazon etc.

Finding the right equipment for you.

Some equipment can help make life easier. You can use our AskSARA app by clicking on the Technology to help you button below.
